Abstract: Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) is a common health issue that has physiological, physical, psychological, reproductive, financial, and social implications on women. The condition is prevalent between 8 and 13% based on the ethnicity, population studied, and definitions used, with up to 70% of affected women remaining undiagnosed. Using the PICO strategy (Population: Patients with PCOS; Interaction: The Management of PCOS impacts; Control: Side effects that provoke or deteriorate PCOS impacts, and Outcome: to develop a holistic management plan that does not provoke or deteriorate side impacts). This articles over the last 10 years (2013-2023) on selected platforms. Based on the background literature and findings from the reviewed literature, although the treatment options for patients may seem varied, they have to bear the unfavourable impacts on their POCS condition while treating one of its impacts, which, to a certain extent, might affect their physical and mental well-being. Therefore, after weighing the advantages and disadvantages of the available treatments, managing the condition holistically, such as by integrating lifestyle modifications and undergoing bariatric surgery, especially gastric by-pass for long-term POCS management, can achieve significant improvements in their symptoms and overall quality of life.
